Combat the summer slide by READING EVERYDAY! Audiobooks/Ebooks Studies have shown that listening to books have many of the same benefits as independent reading, such as improving fluency and building vocabulary. Furthermore, listening to audiobooks allows students to read books that may be too difficult for them to read themselves. They are also a good option for students who are reluctant readers.
